About Me

Hi, I’m Amanda and I’m a licensed professional counselor and mental health service provider (LPC MHSP). I obtained my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2016. I am originally from Georgia, spent 11 years in Nashville, and have since relocated to Charleston, SC. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, attempting yoga poses, watching scary movies, being outdoors and spending time with my family and friends.

LPC license #: 4816 (TN) and 9154 (SC)

Therapeutic Approach

I am passionate about normalizing mental health and receiving counseling because therapy is our “check up from the neck up”. We spend so much time on our physical health (diet, exercise, sleep) and often neglect our mental, emotional and spiritual needs. My goal as a counselor is to understand your struggles from your perspective using empathy. My hope is to provide you with a safe space, open ears, non-judgmental heart and to teach skills to help you find balance with life’s twists and turns. My clinical approach is using CBT, DBT, person-centered and strengths-based. Alternatively, I use mind-body approaches for holistic practices where appropriate.

My Specailities

I primarily work with individuals who are confronted with concerns about self worth, substance abuse, life transitions, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I worked at a local addiction treatment center for 8+ years and I am trained in EMDR.

In-Person & Online Therapy

I provide in-person and online therapy in South Carolina and online therapy in Tennessee. If seeking online therapy, it is important to have a safe place where you can talk openly and honestly.

Get uncomfortable. Ask questions. Make a change for yourself.
